How Millie Stays Parasite-Free the Natural Way

If you’re a dog owner, you know the struggle. You want to protect your dog from fleas, ticks, and worms, but the idea of dosing them with harsh chemical treatments every few months makes you uneasy. Perhaps you worry about side effects, long-term impacts, and whether there’s a better way?

How Millie Stays Parasite-Free the Natural Way

Patricia felt the same way when she started questioning the treatments she was giving her Miniature Schnauzer, Millie. That’s when she discovered ProDog’s Repel, and a year later, she’s never looked back.

From concern to confidence

Millie, now nearly three years old, was Patricia and her husband’s first puppy. Having previously adopted rescue dogs, they were new to raising a dog from such a young age and like many first-time puppy parents, they initially followed conventional advice.

“When we first got Millie, we did what most dog owners do—we gave her chemical flea, tick, and worm treatments. It’s what the vet recommended, and we didn’t question it at first,” Patricia explains.

“But then I started reading up on the potential side effects and long-term impacts of these chemicals, and I just didn’t feel comfortable continuing with them.”

Looking for an alternative, Patricia turned to fellow Schnauzer owners for advice. That’s when a member of the Healthy Happy Schnauzer Club recommended ProDog Raw’s Repel, worm, tick and flea repellent. A 100% natural dietary supplement designed to protect dogs from parasites—without the need for chemicals.

The switch to repel

After doing her own research, Patricia was sold on the idea of using a natural approach that wouldn’t just be kinder to Millie’s system but also to their home, family, and the environment.

“I loved the fact that Repel was made from all-natural ingredients,” Patricia says.

“It’s gentle on Millie’s body but still does the job. Plus, I didn’t have to worry about any harmful chemicals rubbing off onto us, our home, or the wildlife around us.”

One of Patricia’s biggest concerns was ticks, especially since their Lincolnshire home attracts hedgehogs, known carriers of ticks. Despite not living in a high-tick area, she wanted to make sure Millie was protected when running off-lead on her beloved walks.

A year of success—zero fleas, ticks, or worms

Now, over a year since switching to Repel, Patricia couldn’t be happier with the results.

“I do regular worm counts every three to four months, and so far, Millie hasn’t had a single issue. No fleas, no ticks, no worms. It’s honestly been amazing. And the best part? She absolutely loves it! I mix half a scoop in with her home-cooked meals, and she wolfs it down.”

Even Patricia’s husband has been impressed—though he draws the line at trying Repel himself.

“My husband jokes that Millie eats better than him, and honestly… he’s probably right!” Patricia laughs. “He’s quite happy not to have Repel added to his dinner, though.”

More than just protection: A happier, healthier dog

Beyond just keeping parasites at bay, Patricia has noticed that Millie is thriving. She’s full of energy, eager to explore, and loves tearing around off-lead on her walks. She’s also incredibly social, greeting her doggy friends with excitement whenever she spots them.

“She’s not a yappy Schnauzer at all,” Patricia notes. “But if she sees a friend coming before I do, she’ll definitely let me know!”

And at home? Millie remains just as playful, especially when it comes to her favourite massive pink monkey, a gift from her breeder that she still carries everywhere.

“She’s had that monkey since she was a pup, and it’s still her absolute favourite,” Patricia says. “She’s such a character.”

Expert backing: Why Repel works

It’s not just Patricia who swears by ProDog’s Repel. Alison Frost, Canine Nutritionist for ProDog Raw, explains why this supplement is such a game-changer for dog owners who want a safe, effective, and natural alternative to chemical treatments.

“Repel is formulated with carefully selected natural ingredients that create an internal environment that’s unappealing to parasites like fleas, ticks, worms, and mites. Unlike chemical treatments, which flood your dog’s system with toxins, Repel works in harmony with their body. It’s not only kinder to their health, but it also ensures your home, family, and the environment are free from unnecessary chemicals.”

Thinking of making the switch?

If you’re looking for a way to protect your dog from parasites without resorting to harsh chemicals, ProDog’s Repel is a vet-approved natural solution that utilises science backed ingredients with proven results. Just ask Patricia.

“I feel so much better knowing that I’m protecting Millie in a way that’s safe and natural,” she says. “If you’re on the fence, I’d say give it a go. It’s worked brilliantly for us, and I wouldn’t go back.”
