Alison Frost is ProDog’s Head of Nutrition and Product Development, with over two decades of experience advocating natural diets for dogs. She’s the architect behind ProDog’s raw food formulations and supplement range, ensuring every product meets the highest nutritional standards.
Alison holds an IPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Canine Nutrition and is accredited by Dogs Naturally as both a Pro-Raw Dog Food Nutrition Specialist and Pro-Advanced Canine Nutrition Specialist. But her expertise goes beyond credentials.
She lives by the mantra: “Treat the dog in front of you,”
tailoring nutrition advice to each individual dog rather than following one-size-fits-all rules.
At ProDog, Alison offers free one-to-one consultations to customers and anyone needing guidance to get started or understand more about raw feeding. Her role in product development means she’s constantly researching ingredients, refining formulations, and ensuring ProDog’s meals and supplements support dogs’ diverse dietary needs.
Alison’s own dogs, Markle and Winnie (both doodles), keep her grounded in the realities of feeding, grooming, and caring for real dogs with real quirks. She writes for The ProDog Blog on topics ranging from raw feeding fundamentals to addressing specific health conditions through diet.
