AWARD WINNING RAW DOG FOOD & DOG SUPPLEMENTS
Customer Stories
Brea, a devoted dog behaviourist and agility enthusiast, proudly takes on the role of dog mum to four fortunate dogs: Shrimp, Tigger, Lexi, and Monkey. As a busy owner of four dogs, Brea has faced her challenges. Shrimp for example has grappled with environmental allergies, while the rest of the pack needed a diet, robust enough to support their busy active lifestyles.
We take a look at the story of Brea, Shrimp, and the rest of the family and how ProDog supplements have made a positive impact on daily life.
Brea switched her dogs to ProDog Raw dog food two years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Drawn by the huge variety of single protein meal options on offer, she decided to place an order. Since transitioning the dogs to ProDog Raw, she has seen a marked improvement in their muscle mass, coat shine, and drive of all her dogs. Their performance in agility, and their overall well-being, have noticeably improved.
With four dogs between them, Brea and her husband, Joey, enjoy the agility scene together. Joey was drawn into it by a case of FOMO after not wanting to miss out on the fun.
That said, Brea is adamant that her dogs have the time to be dogs.
“Agility comes second to the dogs being dogs. They train twice a week for half an hour at a time, enjoy off-lead walks on the marshes, and get their all-important sleep and chill-out time.”
To support the family’s four dogs, Brea gives the whole pack ProDog’s Flexx supplement with the addition of Protect for Shrimp. Easily added to their food, the nutritional properties of these supplements deliver additional dietary support to fuel the dogs’ busy lives.
Flexx is ProDog’s comprehensive joint and mobility support supplement. Harnessing the anti-inflammatory properties of scientifically-backed ingredients like turmeric, MSM, and chondroitin, it not only aids joint conditions such as arthritis but also maintains joint, muscle, and bone health. This is especially vital for active dogs, those involved in endurance sports or working activities, due to their susceptibility to injuries because of the increased stress and physical demands.
ProDog’s Canine Nutritionist, Alison Frost, highlights that Flexx goes beyond standard joint care by incorporating antioxidants and detox support,
“By removing toxins alongside joint supportive ingredients, Flexx helps to effectively reduce inflammation levels and maintain the freedom of movement associated with healthy joints ”.
This powdered supplement can easily be sprinkled onto any dog’s diet, ensuring they reap the natural benefits of nutritional joint and mobility support.
ProDog Protect is, specifically formulated to target the root cause of itch and allergies by supporting gut and immune health The key ingredients include probiotics and prebiotics supporting a healthy gut; liquorice, promoting a balanced inflammatory response; and quercetin; a natural anti-histamine. Turmeric and vitamin C further aid in maintaining a healthy histamine and inflammatory response, providing relief for dogs experiencing excessive itchiness and skin irritation.
Alison explains:
“Protect is packed with nutrients to help itchy, allergy-prone dogs, build resilience and support the immune system from the core, the gut. Our unique allergy support blend includes scientifically proven ingredients to reduce the itch response to allergens.”

Shrimp, originally from Holland and arriving with Brea and Joey at 17 weeks old, faced persistent environmental allergies. Grass caused particular issues, especially during spring and grass-cutting season. In January 2023, the introduction of ProDog Protect to Shrimp’s meals proved to be a game-changer, with all symptoms vanishing within just one month.
Remarkably, within just one month, Brea explains,
Now, Brea has moved from the daily ritual of bathing Shrimp to help remove the outside allergens, to watching her flourish on a regimen of Protect and a wholesome raw dog food diet. Discover more about the benefits of raw dog food in our guide.
This positive transformation has left Shrimp content, healthy, and able to fully relish life. Her newfound well-being is evident as she excels in agility, completing her first season of nine shows, with aspirations to qualify for Crufts in the novice runs.
Joey, Brea’s husband, grew weary of being a spectator on the agility sidelines, witnessing others revel in the fun. To remedy this, he devised a plan and welcomed Tigger into their lives. Tigger, a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP), may not be the conventional choice for agility, but he has proven to be exceptional.
Possessing abundant drive and a strong connection, Tigger is always eager to please, fostering a unique bromance with Joey and proudly, has advanced to grade 4 in agility, showcasing the collective achievements of both of Brea’s boys.
Like all the family dogs, Tigger benefits from Flexx to maintain peak condition, complemented by their ProDog Raw meals.
Lexi marked the beginning of Brea’s journey into the world of agility, providing her with a sense of purpose, and a meaningful job, and fostering confidence both within herself and in the presence of others.
Described by Brea as the one who “holds her heart and soul,” Lexi is affectionately known as the “wild child” of the family, imparting invaluable lessons that surpass the knowledge gained from any formal courses. Lexi’s early struggles with health, including Parvo, Cherry eye, hernia, and demodectic mange, presented a challenging start. However, through Brae’s care, Lexi defied the odds, teaching Brea the significance of observation and hands-on experience with dogs.
Despite initial difficulties, Lexi’s journey towards recovery was marked by a turning point during a meeting with a larger dog. Previously dog-aggressive, Lexi began learning to communicate rather than engage in immediate confrontation.
Brea fondly refers to Lexi as the “wild child” due to her unique approach to agility, occasionally navigating the course in her way. Lexi’s unpredictable antics keep the sport enjoyable for both her and Brea, and despite her maverick approach, she still earned 2nd place in ‘The Discover Dogs Agility’ starters finals at the age of 4.
Now at 9 years old, Lexi continues to shine in individual competitions, her favourite treat being a raw meaty bone. Lexi keeps in tip-top condition thanks to her diet of ProDog Raw, supplemented by Flexx.
Monkey, Brea’s retired Flyball companion, boasts an impressive history as one of the pioneers to achieve a sub-4-second run back in 2015. In her well-deserved retirement, Monkey revels in activities such as scent work, leisurely strolls, man trailing, and occasional low-key agility shows.
Despite being 10.5 years old, Monkey consistently surprises everyone they encounter with her youthful energy and agility, appearing and moving like a much younger adult. Monkey defies her age, exuding a vitality that makes her seem five years younger.
To ensure she remains in peak condition, Monkey benefits from a daily dose of “Flexx” alongside her ProDog Raw meals.
Brea and her husband are expecting boy twins in January 2024, so this will equal the male/female ratio out in the house perfectly.
As Brea states,
“Joey and Tigger will no longer be outnumbered”
