Our dog probiotics offer powerful support to help maintain your dog’s gut health. Ideal for dogs with upset stomachs or those who have just switched to raw dog food.
In addition to probiotics for dogs helping with the transition to a raw diet, vets also advise using a probiotic during antibiotic treatment, post surgery, for stomach upsets and for building mass e.g. if your dog’s not holding weight or after weaning puppies. Watch this short video to learn more:

Why probiotics for dogs are important
It’s no secret these days that gut health is of optimum importance to overall health. Studies reveal at least 70% of the immune system is located in the gut. An unhealthy gut may lead to poor nutrient absorption and an imbalanced immune response, potentially leading to systemic inflammation in the body and a whole host of health conditions.
The trillions of microbes that play a crucial role in health and live within all living animals’ intestines and skin are collectively known as the “microbiome”. Some are considered harmful, and some are beneficial, depending on the situation. A ‘healthy microbiome’ aims to achieve a balance between the good guys and the bad guys.
That is where probiotics and prebiotics help. Probiotic supplements work by seeding the gut with beneficial bacteria to maintain microbiome balance and are great to use as part of a varied, fresh raw diet. Alternatively, a natural probiotic suitable for dogs is goat’s milk (commonly known as kefir). Kefir is more species-appropriate than cow’s milk.
