AWARD WINNING RAW DOG FOOD & DOG SUPPLEMENTS
Yes, dogs benefit from regular shampoos to keep their coats free from dirt, debris, and any potential parasites they might pick up on their adventures. However, it’s important to consider a gentle dog shampoo that won’t irritate their skin. Our soothing, vet-approved Glossy Shampoo is a perfect blend of safe, natural ingredients that will help keep your dog’s coat healthy and lustrous whilst nourishing their skin.
Less often than you might think. Dogs’ skin is different to human skin, and their natural oils dry out when bathed too often, leaving them itchy and uncomfortable. Each dog is different, but bathing them with a gentle dog shampoo every two weeks to a month is a good rule of thumb to go by, erring on the longer side if you can. If they’re especially dirty, you can bathe them as needed, of course.
We don’t recommend using human bar soap on dogs due to its drying properties. Dogs’ skin is sensitive and prone to dehydration, which is why a gentle, non-irritating dog soap is the best idea. However, if your dog’s skin is itchy and irritated, our Itchy Wash Bar is the perfect solution! It’s free from sulphates and chemicals, and crafted with natural, mild ingredients (including organic essential oils) that will soothe your dog’s skin and calm their irritation.
If your dog is especially prone to irritated skin due to allergies or immune issues, our Protect Supplement provides relief on a nutritional level, resolving the issue at the root.
Whilst this would be better than a human soap bar, human shampoo is also drying to dogs’ skin. This is why it’s a better idea to bathe them with a dog shampoo that’s formulated for their needs, and takes their sensitive skin into consideration. Of course, if your dog has taken a mud bath and that’s all you’ve got in the house, it will work to get them clean; we just don’t recommend it for long-term use.
