To defrost ProDog Raw, leave it in the fridge overnight. It will last 4 days if kept refrigerated. Do not refreeze. If a lesser amount is needed, decant it from the frozen tray. Keep the remainder frozen.

If, at feeding time, the dog’s meal is still partially frozen, you can still feed like this, it’s perfectly safe and some dogs actually prefer it. Or simply add some warm water and allow it to sit for 5 minutes.

We are going for a two week holiday without a freezer. Will Raw keep, if unopened and kept cool.

How can I defrost food quick? My partner forgot to take her meal last night and food still rock hard. Can I defrost it in the microwave?

        Hi there

If you are struggling again and need advice in a hurry then please message us on Facebook as the is the quickest way to get a response. Sorry for the delay. We recommend adding a little boiled water to it rather than using the microwave, if you can get any off the block. It’s a little difficult to break up the block however when fully frozen.

        Kind Regards

Hi there, my dog loves your food but she is small and using it all up in four days is difficult. What do you mean by decanting what you need from the tub – it’s rock solid when it’s frozen so how do I do that? thanks so much.

      • ProDog says:

OK so you need to let it thaw until it is soft enough to decant but still cold to touch. Then you can freeze the smaller batches.

        Kind Regards
